Automated Clearing House (ACH)

Automated Clearing House (ACH) is an electronic financial transactions system run by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA). ACH can process a large volumes of credit and debit transactions in batches that makes online transactions extremely easy and fast.

ACH credit transfers include direct deposit, payroll and vendor payments. ACH direct debit transfers refers to consumer payments on insurance premiums, mortgage loans, and other kinds of bills.

ACH payments is suitable for both the governmental and the commercial sectors. Business increasingly use ACH to facilitate electronic transfers of money, rather than using credit or debit cards.
